Ladies lose to local rivals

Lurgan Ladies lost to local rivals Waringstown by 6 wickets in their Premier League game at the Lawn.

Batting first the Lurgan girls scored 104 for 6 wkts in their 20 overs. Sam Todd maintained her good form with the bat top scoring with 24 while Sarah McCallan (10), Zoe Kilpatrick  (10no) and Julie Hinds (10no) were the other Lurgan players to get into double figures.

In reply it was Waringstown openers Harrison (17) and Mathers (33no) who dominated the villager’s innings with the winning runs coming in the 17th over. Zoe Kilpatrick was the pick of the Lurgan bowlers taking 2 wkts for 24 in her 4 overs while Cara Rainey claimed the other 2 wickets to fall for 39 runs.
