Mrs Gertie Johnston

The death has taken place of Mrs Gertie Johnston, mother of Denis and the late Alan and grandmother of our first eleven player Stephen. Mrs Johnston was a keen supporter of Lurgan Cricket Club all through her life and had attended games right up until last season. The Cricket Section Committee and members of LRF&CC extend their deepest sympathy to Denis,  Stephen and the entire family circle.

The funeral will take place at Shankill Parish Church, Lurgan on Monday (21st May) at 2pm.

Hannah century paves way for derby win

An undefeated century by Hannah Grieve paved the way for an emphatic 97 run win for Lurgan Ladies in the opening game in their Premier League defence. Supported by Samantha  Todd and Jane Kilpatrick, the town side amassed 211 for the loss of just 1 wicket in their 25 overs.

Congratulations to our Rugby Section colleagues on a tremendous season clinching a League and Cup double with a 6 all draw at Donaghadee on Saturday to claim the league title, having beaten the same team a week earlier at the Kingspan to win the Gordon West Cup.

Carol Singing in the Clubhouse

Dickson Primary School lead the Christmas Carol singing in the Pollock Park Clubhouse

A full hall saw Dickson Primary School lead everyone in an evening of carol singing and fellowship in the Pollock Park Clubhouse. The Reverend Noel Agnew gave a short address and many thanks to Albert Dunlop and Raymond Acheson for organising the event and Jordan Jones for acting as MC.
