It was 8.10pm when Lurgan batsman Stephen Chambers hit the winning runs to give the Town side another valuable 4 points in their Section 1 league clash against Cliftonville at Pollock Park on Saturday. Ladies clinch Premier League title

Lurgan Ladies have clinched the NCU Premier League title with an unbeaten run that culminated with a 46 run win at Muckamore on Sunday. The defeat of CSNI by local rivals Waringstown means that the Lurgan girls cannot now be caught and have emerged champions with two games to spare.

A four wicket win for Lurgan in their Section 1 league game with Academy on Saturday gave the home side their seventh win in their last 9 games. Like the previous match against Derriaghy, the pendulum swung both ways throughout the encounter with the Lurgan team being fully deserving of their win.
