Alan wins Golf Classic

A record number of 54 sponsors supported the 12th annual Lurgan Cricket Golf Classic held at sun drenched Lurgan Golf Club last Friday.

The winning team was that of Lee Derby, Gareth Morrison, Chris Metcalf and Paul Stafford. Winner of the individual prize was Alan Hamilton with 38 points just pipping Colin Atkinson into 2nd place and Chris Metcalf into 3rd, both of them scoring 37 points with Chris also capturing the McDowell Cup for Best Placed Club Member. NCU umpire Kevin McConville claimed the ‘closest to the pin’ prize at the 17th hole with Brian McCarey winning the ‘longest drive’ prize drive at the 18th hole.
