Alvin McNally

It was with regret that we learned of another Lurgan player from the 70’s and 80’s who passed away this week. Alvin McNally was an excellent all round cricketer but particularly excelled as a bowler. In the days of unlimited overs restriction, it was not unknow for Alvin to bowl 25 overs unchanged during a match. He played for all the teams at the club with great committment and skill and the photo of him here with Paul McCrum captures the typical enthusiasm with which he played the game. To his wife Karen and entire family circle we send our deepest sympathy.
