DENNIS GUY

It is with regret that the club learned of the passing of former player Dennis Guy. Dennis was an excellent all round sportsman starring in the Irish League in the 1960’s as centre forward for Glenavon. But he was also an excellent all round cricketer with bat and ball and in the field. Dennis and his brother Tom joined us in the mid 1970’s and shared in the club’s All Ireland Cup successes in the 1980’s. To his wife Olwen, son John, daughters Louise and Suzanne and the whole family circle, we extend our Deepest Sympathy.The funeral will take place at St. Mark’s Parish Church, Portadown on Sunday 11th Sept 2022 at 2pm followed by committal in Lurgan Cemetery .
